About the KS1 Arabic line: it is a short daily session of songs, letters and everyday words: an early-language habit built into the morning routine, not an academic subject with homework. From KS2 upwards Arabic becomes a proper timetabled subject, and Quran & Islamic Studies runs alongside it at every stage.
Anything not on the list can still be discussed: every enquiry is answered individually, and subject availability at GCSE/IGCSE and A-Level depends on demand.
Which curriculum and examination boards?
We teach our own bespoke curriculum, aligned with relevant UK examination specifications. At examination stages, teaching is aligned to published international specifications, principally Pearson Edexcel GCSE/IGCSE at the GCSE/IGCSE stage, with A-Level provision in the sciences and mathematics. The Institute's Library also produces board-specific resources for Cambridge International GCSE/IGCSE and Pearson Edexcel International GCSE/IGCSE.
How do examinations actually work?
The Academy is an online school and is not itself an examination centre. Students are entered for examinations as private candidates through external examination centres. In practice:
- The Academy provides: the teaching, the specification coverage, past-paper preparation, marking and feedback, predicted-grade support, and guidance through the entry process.
- The examination centre provides: the actual examination sitting: registration, invigilation, certification, under the examination board's rules.
- Families can use a centre of their choosing (many exist across the UK and internationally), and the Academy supports the administration throughout.
Where a family needs help identifying a suitable centre for their location, contact us, this is a normal part of admissions and we handle it with every examination-stage family.
What is the Academy's legal and regulatory position?
The Neurogenetics Institute operates as a UK-based online education provider. As an online school it is not registered on the English Register of Independent Schools, which applies to physical schools; we state that plainly rather than implying an inspection status we do not hold. The safeguards parents rely on here are concrete and published: DBS-checked teachers, recorded lessons, parent visibility of all activity, UK safeguarding standards, and named accountability, every concern routes directly to the Director.
Registered entity details and business information are provided to prospective families during admissions, and are available on request via contact. We do not publish claims of government accreditation, Ofsted registration, or examination-board accreditation, because none apply.
What does it cost, and what if it isn't right?
Full, current pricing is published on the Academy page by stage, with monthly and annual options, no hidden extras. Every family starts with a £25 live taster class, credited in full against enrolment: so you judge the real thing, not a brochure. Cancellation terms are in the Terms & Policies.
Who teaches, and how are they checked?
Every teacher holds a degree in their subject, a teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE or equivalent), an in-date enhanced DBS check, and a minimum of five years' classroom experience, then passes our four-stage selection and training before meeting a live class. Full detail on the Academic Team page.
What about results?
Student Results & Privacy
Our students have achieved very high grades across their examinations, and we maintain individual student reports documenting their academic progress and outcomes.
However, we do not publish student names, identifiable results, or personal academic records publicly. We take student privacy seriously and keep individual student information confidential.
As our examination cohorts continue to grow, we will share appropriate anonymised information about student outcomes where possible, while always protecting the privacy and identity of our students.
