School Terms & Conditions

The plain terms for enrolling a child at The Academy, the Neurogenetics Institute's online private school. Last updated 26 September 2026.

1. The Academy is a school

Enrolment at The Academy is enrolment at a school: not a subscription, a course or a product. A place covers a full academic year of live teaching, structured practice, assessment and progress reporting. Children join for a minimum of one full academic year, and fees are payable for that year.

2. How to join, through the website

The only way to join is through this website:

The school's subjects and curriculum are set by the Academy. Families do not choose subjects à la carte; the assessment covers the school's subjects for your child's stage.

3. Fees

Fees are per package and per stage, payable monthly or annually:

StagePlatinumGold
KS1£150/mo or £1,399/yr—
KS2£325/mo or £2,850/yr—
KS3£455/mo or £3,990/yr£325/mo or £2,850/yr

Fast Track GCSE£790/mo or £6,000/yr£565/mo or £4,290/yr
A-Level£740/mo or £5,645/yr—

Fees are due monthly in advance and are payable for the full academic year in which a child is enrolled.

4. Fees shown on the website

The fees published on our website and School Plans page are the current applicable fees for each stage and package. Any change to fees will be notified before it applies to you.

5. Assessments before starting

Every new learner completes the Academy's assessments before their first lesson: Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Learning Lab, plus the Brain Profile. The results shape each child's starting point: they are shared with parents and discussed, not used to exclude any child.
